자주 묻는 질문

Why choose WebP over JPG for PDF pages?

WebP files are typically 25 to 35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality, which matters for web pages and social posts where file size counts. If you need images for older software or email clients, PDF to JPG is the safer choice.

What WebP quality setting should I use?

The slider runs from 10% to 100% and defaults to 85%. Values between 80 and 85% usually look identical to the original on screen, and going higher mainly adds file size.

What resolution are the WebP images?

Each page is rendered at 2x its PDF dimensions, so a letter-size page comes out at roughly 1,224 by 1,584 pixels. There is no separate DPI or size setting.

Does it convert all pages, or can I pick some?

All pages are converted. A one-page PDF downloads as filename.webp; a longer document downloads as filename_webps.zip containing page_1.webp, page_2.webp, and so on. To convert only certain pages, pull them out first with Extract Pages.

Will the WebP images open everywhere?

Current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge display WebP, as do most modern image editors. Some older desktop programs and email clients don't, so fall back to JPG or PNG for those.

Is the WebP output lossy?

The quality slider controls lossy compression, so fine text edges lose a little detail at low settings. For an exact copy of a page, use PDF to PNG, which is lossless.

Are my PDF pages uploaded when converting to WebP?

No. Rendering and WebP encoding happen in your browser, and the resulting images or ZIP are created on your own device.
