자주 묻는 질문

How do I print a large PDF across several A4 or Letter sheets?

Set Rows and Columns to the grid you want, for example 2 rows and 2 columns to split a page into four sheets, choose the output page size, and click the button. Each grid cell becomes one page in the new PDF, ready to print on ordinary paper and tape together. For the opposite job, fitting several pages onto one sheet, use N-Up PDF.

What is the overlap setting for?

Overlap extends each tile a little into its neighbors, in points, inches, or millimeters, so the sheets share a strip you can glue or tape without a gap at the seam. Leave it at 0 if you want tiles that meet edge to edge.

What's the difference between Fit and Fill when posterizing?

Fit scales each tile so the whole thing lands on the output page, leaving white margins if the shapes don't match. Fill (Crop) scales the tile up until it covers the page completely, which removes margins but can cut off edges.

Can I posterize just one page of the document?

Type the pages in the Page range box, for example 1 or 1-3, 5. Only those pages are split and included in the output; pages outside the range are left out entirely, so extract them separately if you still need them.

Is the output still vector, or is it turned into images?

Each page is rendered at double resolution and the tiles are saved as PNG images, so the result is raster rather than vector. That's fine for printing at poster sizes, but the text is no longer selectable and very large scale factors can look soft.

How many pages will the result have?

Rows multiplied by columns for every page you posterize, so a 3x3 grid turns one page into nine and a 2x2 grid applied to a three page document produces twelve. Tiles are ordered row by row from left to right.

What output sizes and orientations can I use?

A4, Letter, Legal, A3, or A5, with orientation set to Portrait, Landscape, or Automatic, which follows the shape of the source page. The preview shows dashed red lines where the cuts will fall so you can adjust the grid before processing.

Is my PDF uploaded to tile it?

No. The rendering, tiling, and assembly happen in your browser, and the new PDF downloads under the original file name. Because pages are rendered locally, big grids on large pages take more memory on your machine.
