PDF Editor

BentoPDF's PDF Editor lets you annotate, highlight, redact, comment, add shapes and images, and search through your PDFs. It loads a full-featured editor directly in your browser with no server uploads required.

How It Works

  1. Upload your PDF by clicking the drop zone or dragging a file onto it.
  2. The embedded PDF editor opens automatically with your document loaded.
  3. Use the toolbar to annotate, highlight, redact, add text, draw shapes, or insert images.
  4. Click Download Edited PDF to save your changes.

Features

  • Full annotation toolbar with highlighting, underlining, strikethrough, and freehand drawing
  • Text insertion and commenting
  • Redaction tools for permanently removing sensitive content
  • Shape tools for rectangles, circles, lines, and arrows
  • Image insertion onto PDF pages
  • Built-in text search across the document
  • Multi-document support with tabs (up to 10 documents open simultaneously)
  • Drag-and-drop file loading

Use Cases

  • Reviewing contracts and marking up changes with highlights and comments
  • Redacting confidential information like social security numbers or financial data before sharing
  • Adding annotations to architectural plans or engineering drawings
  • Inserting company logos or stamps onto document pages
  • Searching through lengthy legal documents for specific terms

Tips

  • You can open multiple PDFs at once and switch between them using the tab bar at the top of the editor.
  • The editor preserves the original PDF structure, so fonts, layouts, and form fields remain intact.
  • For bulk watermarking or page numbering, use the dedicated tools instead for more control over formatting.
