Sign PDF

Add your signature to any PDF document. The tool embeds a full PDF viewer with built-in signature tools where you can draw a signature freehand, type your name in a signature font, or upload a signature image. Place and resize signatures on any page, then save the signed document.

How It Works

  1. Upload your PDF file.
  2. The document opens in an integrated PDF viewer with annotation tools.
  3. Use the viewer's signature tool to create your signature by drawing, typing, or uploading an image.
  4. Click on the page where you want to place the signature and adjust its size and position.
  5. Optionally check Flatten PDF to permanently embed the signature into the document.
  6. Click Save & Download Signed PDF to get your signed file.

Options

  • Flatten PDF -- When checked, the signature is permanently embedded into the page content. This prevents the signature from being moved or deleted by others. When unchecked, the signature remains an annotation that can be edited in compatible viewers.

Features

  • Three signature creation methods: freehand drawing, typed text, or uploaded image
  • Integrated PDF viewer for accurate placement
  • Drag to position and resize signatures on any page
  • Optional flattening to permanently embed signatures
  • Support for multiple signatures on the same document

Use Cases

  • Signing contracts, agreements, or approval forms before sending them back
  • Adding your signature to tax documents, insurance claims, or government forms
  • Placing initials on individual pages of a multi-page agreement
  • Signing NDAs or HR documents that arrive as PDF attachments

Tips

  • Enable flattening if you are sending the signed PDF to someone who should not be able to remove or reposition your signature.
  • For legally binding digital signatures with certificate-based verification, BentoPDF also offers a separate Digital Signature tool.
  • Upload a PNG signature image with a transparent background for the cleanest result.
